Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (LBMS) and Tiger Lane Tailgating and Parking Guidelines and Information

TIGER LANE TAILGATING INFORMATION

LOCATION:

The Tiger Lane tailgating area is in the center of the property, identified as the Green lots on the LBMS Site Plan. Tiger Lane is accessible from East Parkway South ONLY. Tiger Lane tailgaters are encouraged to travel Northbound on East Parkway South from Southern Avenue and enter Access 8 or 9. Please see “Tiger Lane Lawn” under ‘General Parking and Tailgating Guidelines and Information’ below, for public (on foot) access and guidelines.

SPACE DESCRIPTION AND PASSES:

One (1) pass will be issued per reserved Tiger Lane tailgating space. Each 10’Wx20’L Tiger Lane tailgating space has an adjacent 10’x10’ grass pad and a 1-15 amp electrical connection. Please note: there is a six (6”) inch curb between the tailgating space and the adjacent 10’x10’ grass pad. No trailers or vehicles are allowed on Tiger Lane Lawn or the 10’x10’grass pad. Tailgaters with one (1) pass must make sure that their vehicle/utility trailer/grill/tent/other belongings will fit into their assigned space. None of these items can obstruct or infringe upon drive lanes, walkways, or non-owned/adjacent tailgating space(s). Passes must be visible at all times. Vehicles or emptied trailers without proper passes will be towed from the Tiger Lane tailgating area at owner’s expense. Should your vehicle be towed, please contact the Stadium at 901.729.4344.

ACCESS TIMES AND INFORMATION:

Tiger Lane tailgaters can begin setting up at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day. Guests visiting Tiger Lane tailgaters need to park in general parking areas, and enter Tiger Lane on foot, only. It is the responsibility of all Tiger Lane tailgaters to notify guests. All Tiger Lane tailgating areas must be cleared by noon (12:00pm), on the day after game day.

RV PARKING WITH ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

LOCATION:

The RV parking with electrical connection area is located in Blue Lot 15 (identified on the LBMS Site Plan), and can be accessed via Access 7 at Central and Early Maxwell.

SPACE DESCRIPTION:

Each 18’Wx40’L RV with connection space has an adjacent 15’x18’ grass pad. Every two (2) RV spaces have 1-50 amp, 1-30 amp, and 2-15 amp electrical connections. All other RV’s on property must be self contained and will be directed to the designated Home or Visiting Team RV/Tailgating area.

Access to LBMS property for RV or tailgating begins at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day.   All RV and tailgating areas must be cleared by noon (12:00pm) on the day after game day.

GENERAL PARKING AND TAILGATING GUIDELINES

AND INFORMATION

ADA PARKING (GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES LOT ACCESS):

The main ADA parking lot is in Red Lot 3 and can be accessed via Access 3, off South Hollywood. NO Tailgating is allowed in these areas, and they are first come, first served. All guests parking in these areas much have a valid ADA placard or permanent tag that is visible at all times from the front windshield of the vehicle.

ATV’S/GOLF CARTS/SCOOTERS/MOTORBIKES

Patron golf carts, ATV’s and scooters are strictly prohibited on property. Any utility trailer, flat bed, truck, or vehicle entering LBMS property carrying this type of equipment will be denied entry, regardless of credentials.

BUSES

Bus parking is in AZLB Tan Lot 13, closest to Early Maxwell and can be accessed via Access 11 off Southern Avenue. For transportation to and from games, please check the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) website for schedules at www.matatransit.com, or call MATA at 901.274.6282.

DROP OFF/PICK UP

Drop off and pick up will be allowed at Access 2 off South Hollywood on game day. Due to preparations for game day egress, South Hollywood will only allow outbound (Northbound) traffic from halftime, until the clearing of egress. Guests can be picked up after all outbound traffic is off property, post game.

FIRE SAFETY (OPEN FLAME/CHARCOAL DISPOSAL/GRILLS/FLAMMABLE ITEMS):

NO CHARCOAL, OPEN FLAMES OR GRILLS ON TIGER LANE LAWN ALLOWED. All other open flames are allowed only in enclosed, above-ground containers (chimneys, grills, etc). No tiki torches will be allowed on property. All flames must be extinguished prior to guests leaving their area to attend the game, and all charcoal and ashes must be disposed of in the nearest Ash Bin (LBMS provided) prior to leaving property. Charcoal must be match-light or quick-light type of charcoal. Use of lighter fluid is strictly prohibited. A metal pan must be provided under any BBQ pit to prevent ashes from falling onto the ground.   Placement of pits should be such that passers by cannot come into contact with the pit. Please do not leave burning pits unattended, and DO NOT PLACE PITS OR COALS UNDER VEHICLES. PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR PITS TO COOL. LP tanks must be D.O.T. approved for propane use and be equipped with a U.I. approved safety relief valve, a U.L. listed hose in good condition, and proper connections. DO NOT THROW ASHES OR COALS IN DUMPSTERS OR TRASH CANS. Flammable decorations are prohibited. No hay, straw, bamboo, etc. allowed within 35 feet of a tent. A fire extinguisher with minimum rating of 2-A must be fully charged and available at all times. LBMS management reserves the right to monitor the use of open flames, along with the City of Memphis Fire Marshall. Charcoal and grills on Tiger Lane Lawn are strictly prohibited.

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Food vendors or organizations selling or giving food, drink, or other items to the general public are not allowed on property without prior approval by LBMS management. Any entities interested in LBMS should call 901.729.4344 and speak with the Food and Beverage Director.

GAME DAY GENERAL PARKING:

Game day general parking on LBMS property can be accessed via Access 7 (Central and Early Maxwell), Access 11 (Southern Ave. and Early Maxwell), and Access 10 (off East Parkway South). General parking is first come first served, CASH ONLY. Parking lots open up for General Parking at 8:00am (CST) on each game day. All general parking and tailgating guidelines apply otherwise.

GENERATORS

Generators must remain out of the way of neighboring tailgaters or passers by, and should be well ventilated.

LBMS SITE PLAN

The AutoZone Liberty Bowl Classic site plan (game day specific), is available at the following website: www.thelibertybowlstadium.com.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: weapons, baby strollers, umbrellas, outside food and drink, camcorders, professional cameras (long lens of 12” or longer), camera cases, coolers, ice chest, outside alcohol, bottles/glass containers, banners judged to be in bad taste, footballs, laptop computers, laser pens, chairbacks larger than a single seat (16” wide, 12” deep is maximum), artificial noisemakers.

PUBLIC RESTROOMS

Port-o-lets will be provided by LBMS on site on game day, in areas convenient to all tailgaters and guests. Public restrooms will also be available on the East side of the Pipkin Building at Early Maxwell and Mississippi.

RV PARKING (General, no connections)

RV parking WITHOUT connections is located in AZLB Tan Lot 13 and can be accessed via Access 11 off Southern Avenue and Early Maxwell. Please look for signage regarding home team and visiting team areas. All general parking and tailgating guidelines apply. For RV Parking with connections, please see “RV PARKING WITH CONNECTIONS” at the beginning of this document for specific details.

SECURITY

Securing personal property is the responsibility of its owner. Please do not leave your area unattended. Secure your area prior to entering the Stadium by placing valuables out of sight, locking down any food and beverage, extinguishing all fires/flames, unplugging electrical outlets.

TAILGATING (General):

General tailgating areas can be accessed via Access 7 off Central Avenue and Early Maxwell, and via Access 11 off Southern Avenue and Early Maxwell. Additional parking spaces must be purchased to accommodate oversized vehicles or additional space for tailgating. Barbeques in town will need to purchase an additional space and be able to provide receipts upon request. Tailgaters can begin setting up at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day. All tailgating areas must be cleared by noon (12:00pm) on the day after game day. All general parking and tailgating guidelines apply, otherwise. Tailgaters must make sure that their vehicle/utility trailer/grill/tent/other belongings will fit into their assigned space. None of these items must obstruct or infringe upon drive lanes, walkways, or non-owned/adjacent tailgating space(s). Vehicles or emptied trailers without proper credentials will be towed from the tailgating area. Should your vehicle be towed, please contact the Stadium at 901.729.4344.

TENTS

NO STAKING, DRILLING, OR NAILING WILL BE ALLOWED ON ANY LBMS PAVED OR APHALTED SURFACES, OR IN THE TIGER LANE LAWN OR GREEN LOTS. STAKING OF TENTS IS ALLOWED IN PURPLE LOTS 18, 19, ONLY. Water barrels, sand bags, and cinder blocks will need to be obtained by guests prior to entering property. Guests that are found staking will be held responsible for any and all damage to the area of pavement/asphalt involved. All tent support must fall inside each guests’ assigned area. Tents can be set up beginning at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day, and must be accompanied by an adult until game day kickoff. Tents are to be taken down by noon (12:00pm) on the following business day after game day.

TIGER LANE LAWN

The Tiger Lane Lawn is the large grass areas between Tiger Lane tailgating lots, running East from East Parkway South, towards the Stadium. Public without Tiger Lane tailgating passes need to park in general parking areas, and enter Tiger Lane on foot, only. Tiger Lane Lawn follows the same general tailgating guidelines listed in this document, with the following added prohibited items and information. There are no tent structures/grills/trailers/vehicles/large structures allowed on Tiger Lane Lawn. Blankets, lawn chairs, picnic items are all allowed and encouraged in these large grass areas.

 

TRASH

Trashcans and dumpsters will be provided by LBMS and are for everyone’s use, and will be positioned in locations for the ease of use. Tailgaters should not move trashcans into their area at any time. Please dispose of trash properly. Waste food items should be placed in plastic bags and in trashcans or dumpsters provided. Please clean up your immediate area at the end of game day.
